Need a ride?

VIC Transportation is contracted with the Los Angeles Department of Aging to provide door-to-door transportation for qualifying seniors. This means that our drivers will help clients who require or request assistance from the door of their homes, onto and off of the vehicles, and then to the door of their destination. Our services can provide rides to and from doctor's appointments, grocery stores, banks, and our senior centers. Rides must be scheduled at least two(2) weeks in advance to ensure times can be accommodated. Vehicles operate between 8:00am and 3:00pm, Monday Through Friday, and we are closed on weekends and in observance of state and federal holidays.

Qualifications:

65+ years of age

Completed Client Intake and Paratransit Forms

Live within a VIC Senior Center service area

Signature from a licensed physician or clinical social worker

Restrictions:

Clients who require medical assistance must be accompanied by a caregiver (ie. high fall risk, dementia)

VIC Transportation does NOT provide emergency medical transport

VIC Transportation does NOT accommodate gurneys

Transportation services are provided free of charge. Riders are encouraged to make a voluntary donation of $0.50 for a one-way trip or $1.00 for a round trip. This program is partially funded by the City of Los Angeles Department of Aging.
